About Us:
Stepping Stones Together
Stepping Stones Together is a specialist ABA Saturday social club dedicated to supporting autistic children in developing social interaction, communication, and peer engagement skills in a structured yet nurturing environment. We understand that many autistic children struggle with social opportunities due to a world designed for neurotypical individuals. Our club provides a safe, understanding, and tailored space where children can interact, build friendships, and develop essential social skills at their own pace.
Our sessions are carefully structured by Board Certified Behaviour Analysts (BCBAs), ensuring activities are tailored to meet the unique needs of each child. ABA therapists and trained 1:1 volunteer provide personalised support, encouraging participation and guiding children through social interactions in a way that is positive and engaging. Whether through structured group activities, play-based learning, or guided peer interactions, we focus on helping children develop confidence in social settings.
At Stepping Stones Together, we prioritise acceptance, patience, and individual growth. Our goal is to create an inclusive community where autistic children feel valued, understood, and empowered. By working closely with families, professionals, and the wider community, we strive to ensure that every child has the opportunity to connect, communicate, and thrive in a way that feels natural and meaningful to them.

Hours of Support Provided
At Stepping Stones Together we have provded 84 sessions for children to socialise, develop skills, build confidence and enjoy inclusive activities in a supportive environment. From structured activites and social opportunities to creative play and skill development, each session is designed to help children feel included, build confidence, develop independence and form meaingful connections.

Children Supported through SST
Across our Specialist Social Club, we have supported over 109 children and families by creating oppourtunities for children to play, connect, and build friendships, while supporting families through welcoming activities.
During this time we have also celebrated 16 fun and memorable birthdays wherechildren can celebrate and enjoy their special day with their friends!

Children Supported during HAF
Through our HAF Programme, we have welcomed and supported children during the school holidays, delivering 8 sessions of 4 hours - providing 32 hours of engaging activities and support. Children had the opportunity to have fun, make friends and try new experiences in a safe and welcoming environment, while developing their confidence, independence and social skills.

Dedicated Volunteers
Our volunteers are at the heart of everything that we do. Their time, dedication and continued support have helped us grow, reach more families and create meaningful opportunities for children and young people.
Through their experience with SST, many of our volunteers have progressed into employment, further education, training and new oppourtunities.
